aWise Match (2017) aWise Match provokes discussion and contemplation on freedom of choices by putting players under the situation that every choices are highlighted. Like Bartleby the Scrivener by Herman Melville, where a protagonist became conscious paralyze because of his awareness of freedom of choice and meaninglessness of life. The mechanic of this game is purposely design to resist the way other conventional games work. It is a truly repeating game, where players need to decide how long will they keep going and when to end it. Every element of the game: distraction cards, rolling dices and a match, emphasize the pointlessness of each action.
